REVERE, Mass. - Ruth Helen Jones,
93, of Marblehead, MA, formerly of Island Park, Portsmouth, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Lafayette Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Marblehead, MA.
Born in Fall River, MA on December 21, 1917, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Gastall.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a special bond with her pets, her favorite being “Snoopy” her daughter’s family dog.
Her children, Wendell Kirk Jones of Providence, RI, Karen Spence of Glouster, NJ, Wendy Jones of Hondo, TX, and Sally Roach of Newton, MA, her brother Roland Gastall, her sister Loretta Murphy of Clearwater, FL and thirteen grandchildren survive her.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Carl and Everett Gastall and her sister Mary Gastall.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Trinity Cemetery, East Main Road in Portsmouth, RI.
