Maria F. Paradise
NEWPORT - Maria F. (Gouveia) Paradise,

72, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Newport Hospital, with her family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of William N. Paradise, Sr.
Born in Maderia, Portugal on September 21, 1939. She was the daughter of the late John Gouviea and Carolinda (Matoes) Bliven.
Before retirement, Mrs. Paradise along with her husband owned and operated the former Advanced Cleaning Concepts and Aquidneck Rug.
She enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, Red Sox, Giants and New England Pats. She loved her daily walks, animals, the ocean and the smile from others. She enjoyed the simple things in life, but most of all was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family.
Besides her husband of over 53 years, she leaves her loving children, William (Dolca) N. Paradise, Jr. of Newport, Mark Paradise of Warwick, Bettina Paradise of Newport, Linda (Steve) Pulice of Middletown and Judith (Robert) Anderson of Ohio. She was the sister of Stephen Bliven of Florida and grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 9.
She was the grandmother of the late Robert Anderson.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. with A Prayer Service to begin at 6:30 at the ONeill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring Street, Newport. Burial will be private.
