TIVERTON - Edward James Holewiak, "aka" "Luke",
67, of Tiverton died on Wednesday, March 30, 2011.
He was the husband of Geraldine Ann (Michael) Holewiak to whom he was married to for 44 years.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Eleanor (Murphy) and Edward A. Holewiak.
He had retired from the Federal Government in 1996 where he worked as a Construction Representative at the Naval Base. He had started working as a Pipe fitter at General Dynamics and at the Quincy Shipyard and had also worked as a Pipe fitter at the Naval Base where he worked he way up to "Resident Officer in Charge of Construction".
He was a graduate of De LaSalle Academy in 1961 and had served in the US Army. He was a member of the St. Stanislaus Cadets, the Liberal Club, the N.A.R.F.E., AARP, the VFW Post 5392 and was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, his sister survives him, June James (husband Howard) of Tiverton.
Visitation today, April 1, 2011, 4-8 p.m.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 9 a.m. from the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road, Tiverton, RI with a 10 a.m. mass at St. Theresa's Church. Burial at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice or the New England Sinai Hospital, Attn: Development Office, 150 York Street, Stoughton, MA 02872.
