Frank T. Corey, Jr.
MERRIMACK, NH - Frank T. Corey, Jr.
age 64, died peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2011 with his son and daughter-in-law by his side.
Frank was born on February 12, 1947 in Middletown, RI to Frank Corey Sr. & Evelyn Travers.
He attended Middletown High School and in 1969, married Linda (Valentino) Demello and moved to Tiverton, RI.
Together, they had one son, Frank III; though they later divorced, they enjoyed a friendship that lasted the rest of his life.
Frank spent most of his life in Portsmouth, RI and worked for Custom Woodworking, Kaiser Aluminum, and eventually retired from the Portsmouth RI School District in 2008 after 18 years of service.
Upon his retirement, he relocated to Wilton and Milford, NH to be closer to his son’s family.
Throughout his life, he was an avid collector and dealer of military history. He was a lifetime member of the Tiverton Rod & Gun Club, the Amateur Trapshooting Association, and the National Rifle Association.
He loved a good western, a good flea market, a good greasy spoon and an even better cigar. He also enjoyed fishing with good friends and spoiling his “grandpups” to no end.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, and his gentle nature.
He is survived by his son Frank; daughter-in-law Michelle; and “grandpups” Molly, Bug & Henry of Milford, NH as well as many friends & colleagues.
He was preceded in death by his parents. At his request, no services will be held.
We would like to thank the Community Hospice House for the truly wonderful care he received during his final days and suggest memorial donations be made to them at 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
