Virginia R. Marshall
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Virginia R. (Timmons) Marshall
was born on September 30, 1921 in Newton, MA. She peacefully passed away at Life Care Center of Lawrenceville, GA on Friday, April 15, 2011.
She was a homemaker and did volunteer work for the Navy Relief in Newport. Virginia was a dear and cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Lt. James S. Marshall USN. She joins her sister Dorothy Mills and brother John Timmons in peace with our Lord.
Virginia is survived by her brother Thomas Timmons. She was the devoted mother of daughter Janet Calhoun and son-in-law Brice of Lawrenceville, GA, son James S. Marshall, Jr. and daughter-in–law Lynn of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, daughter Joyce Merrick and son-in-law Kenneth of Atlanta, GA, and Jeffery Marshall of Middletown, RI. Also survived by grandchildren Michael Calhoun, Joshua Marshall, Michelle Pagad, Paul Marshall, Amy Marshall, John Patrick Marshall and Matthew Marshall, great- grandchildren Meredith and Morgan Calhoun and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was loved by all and will sorely be missed.
The family will receive friends at Andrew J. Magni & Son Funeral Home on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. at 365 Watertown Street, Newton, MA. 1-617-527-2224.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Newton Cemetery.
