NEWPORT - Robert Curtis Massey,
58, of Newport, RI, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Bannister House, Providence, RI.
Born in Newport, RI, on October 28, 1952, he was the son of the late Milton C. and Mary (Shirley) Massey, Jr.
Mr. Massey was a gardener with the New Visions Community Gardens Program. He also was a former Newport Little League coach.
He is survived by his son Robert C. Massey, Jr. of Maryland, his daughter Robyn L. Massey of Newport, RI, his son, David Ezel, his stepson, Bernard Tribble of Providence, RI, his stepson Joseph Carey of California, his sister Linda Texeira of Newport, RI, his brother Milton C. Massey of Newport, RI, his grandchildren, Onyka Massey of Newport, RI and Jamyn Massey, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Raymond Massey.
A memorial service, in his memory, will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel Street Senior Center, Newport, RI.
