Eugene A. Calibani
STOUGHTON, Mass. - Eugene A. Cal Calibani,
age 86, of Stoughton passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA.
Born and raised in Newport, RI he attended Rogers High School in Newport.
He served as a First Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp for over 26 years during WW II, Korean War and the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Marine Corp Mr. Calibani worked for Boston Mutual Insurance for over 20 years before retiring. Cal Loved to volunteer for any organization and was a member of the Canton Veterans Service Department Honor Guard and delivered bread for many years to the local food pantries, senior centers and nursing homes. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #24 in Canton, the Stoughton V.F.W., the Stoughton Knights of Columbus, Stoughton Sons of Italy and the Holy Ghost Society in Newport. Mr. Calibani has lived in Stoughton since 1968.
Beloved husband of the late Anne M. (Silva). Father of Joan C. Daughtry of CA, Mary A. Baptista of N. Easton & Michael E. Calibani of Stoughton. Brother of Virginia Miller of RI, Joseph Calibani of TX, Robert Calibani of OK, Anna Sabato of Turners Falls & the late Everett Calibani & Catherine Mullen. Grandfather of Lauren Ritter of TX & Nicole Baptista of N. Easton.
