of Middletown, RI, born November 3, 1912, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, May 18, 2010.
Beloved wife of the late Berthyl W. Means, Captain, retired, Chicago Fire Department, daughter of the late John Daly and Alice Daly, nee Grimley, sister of the late Alice Iwicki, loving mother of Nancy R. Kaz of Crete IL, John P. and Cathy M. Means of Middletown, RI, and Michael W. Means of Florence, SC. Grandmother of Alex, Dr. Kian, and Arthur Kaz, Marie and Gregory Bussiere, John P. and Mary Ann Means, Jr., and Michelle Means.
Rita was employed in banking for over 30 years at the Oak Lawn Trust & Savings Bank. She was an avid baseball fan, formerly a member of the Four Winds Yacht Club, Sarasota Sports Committee, and the Jeanette McDonald International Fan Club.
Wake will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010, 3-9 p.m. at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, Oak Lawn, IL.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010, 10:30 a.m., Mass at St. Christina Church, 111th & Christiana Avenue, Chicago, IL. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Roosevelt & Wolf Roads, Hillside, IL.
