MAUI, Hi. - Sharon Puanani (Chamberlain) Landry,
51 years old, of Kaweo Place, Kula, Maui, Hawaii died peacefully surrounded by her loving husband Michael Landry and her mother Elizabeth Chamberlain on Sunday, June 14, 2009 after a years illness.
She was the beloved wife of husband, Michael Scott Landry from Newport, Rhode Island. Michael was her devoted hospice caregiver during her illness.
She was the daughter of Elizabeth Chamberlain of Maui and the dearly departed Robert Chamberlain. She was the sister of Michael, Patrick and Terry Chamberlain of Oahu. She was the daughter-in-law of Margaretta and Francis Deven Landry of Newport, RI, and the sister-in-law of Kathleen, Frank, and Paul Landry and Cheryl (Landry) McCarthy and Carol (Landry) Blanchard.
A devoted wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, auntie and great-auntie to several nieces and nephews.
She was born on March 1, 1958 in Honolulu and was native Hawaiian. Her family moved to Maui when she was in grade school and she grew up on Maui. She was a kind and gracious soul who brought peace to others through her gentle spirit.
She was a graduate of the University of Hawaii with a Business Major and worked for years in the tourist related industry in Hawaii before committing her life to serve the Lord. She was a committed Christian and had a special relationship with the Lord and was a gifted teacher of Gods Love and Peace. She served others through her ministry and mission work with her devoted husband, Michael Landry, and traveled with him to teach the Lords message around the world. She served the Lord with her husband by teaching and encouraging all people around the world with her gracious manner and message of Gods Love and Peace. She helped people locally in her Hawaiian community, nationally in Christian communities across America, and internationally in non-Christian countries such as China.
Sharons memorial service was celebrated at Kings Cathedral on Kahului, Maui, Hawaii on Saturday, June 27, 2009. Pastor Alan Cravalho con celebrated the service with an opening prayer, worship by Pastor Joshua Marocco, and message and prayers by Dr. James Marocco. Remembrances were by Erin Lincoln and Kim Tongg and a Video Tribute of her life was prepared and presented by the staff of Kings Cathedral and Chapels. Family and friends from Hawaii and around the world celebrated her life. The Landry and Chamberlain Ohana give peace, love, and Gods blessings to all who shared Sharons Life.
