PORTSMOUTH - Ann “Bunny” Fay (Vars) Silvia,
77, of Portsmouth, RI, died on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Newport Hospital, Newport.
She was the wife of the late William H. Silvia.
Born in Newport, RI on May 12, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Ann (Rathcamp) Vars.
Mrs. Silvia was a figure skating enthusiast. She loved bowling and was on a bowling league at the Aquidneck Lanes. She was an avid yard saler and owned a furniture resale store in Tiverton called "Bunny's". She also loved playing the piano. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loving friend. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Blake D. Henderson and his wife Melanie of Portsmouth, RI, Craig Henderson of Warren, RI, and Jill Glazier of Portsmouth, RI, her sister Jean Miller of Canoga Park, CA, her grandchildren, Jaquelyn and Nichole Henderson, John, Heather and Ross Glazier and Keith Brady, four great-grandchildren and many cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, from 4-7 p.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
