Hazel J. Adcock
FALL RIVER, Mass. - Hazel J. Adcock, 81, a resident of South Point Rehabilitation in Fall River, MA and formerly of Tiverton, RI and Louisville, Kentucky, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA.
She was the wife of the late retired United States Air Force Tech Sgt., Bernard K. Adcock.
Hazel was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 1, 1928. A daughter of a late James Younger Goins and Mollie R. (Holthouser) Goins.
Hazel, along with her husband, moved to the Newport area in 1985 to be close to their daughter and son. She was the member of the Red Hat Society and the Eastern Star. Hazel loved crafts and especially designing dolls. She was a quilter and traveled throughout the world with her husband Bernard.
She is survived by her son Roger D. Russell and his wife Sharon of Park City, KY; Connie L. Coyne and her husband Peter of Portsmouth, RI; Her sister Virginia Parsley of Park City, KY; her grandchildren Christopher Coyne, Garrett Coyne, Kenneth Russell, Adam Russell, Leah Bracken, Barbara Bracken, Robert Bracken; her ten great-grandchildren and her special friend Lynn Crandell of Hesperia, CA.
Hazel was the mother of the late Annetta Russell.
A Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m., on Monday, July 27, 2009 at the ONeill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring Street, Newport, RI. Burial at St. Columba Cemetery Middletown, RI.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2009, from 3-6 p.m.
