88, of Shrewsbury, MA, died on Wednesday, July 22, 2009.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Helen (Houle), loving father of eight children; Peter T. Flaherty and his wife Rose of Herndon, VA, Joseph P. Flaherty and his wife Nancy of Concord, MA, Sarah T. Krouch and her husband William of Hinsdale, IL, Melissa M. Meads and her husband Thomas of Nashua, NH, Meghan R. Janotta and her husband Peter of Newport, RI, Timothy J. Flaherty and his wife Tara of Narragansett, RI, Kate H. Hinton and her husband Patrick of Walpole, MA, and Jennifer J. Shultz and her husband Joseph of Middletown, NJ, as well as his 30 grandchildren. Also survived by his 2 brothers Robert Flaherty of Brewster, MA and David Flaherty of Yarmouthport, MA and his sister Betty Kelleher of Shrewsbury, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
His brother Peter Flaherty, killed in action during WW II, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held today, July 27, 2009 in Shrewsbury, MA. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury, MA.
