PORTSMOUTH - Louise E. (Hargraves) Bailey,
87, of Portsmouth, RI, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.
She was the wife of the late Edward F. Bailey.
Born in Fall River, MA on March 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Mary (Roberts) Hargraves.
Mrs. Bailey was a communicant of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and a former member of Green Valley Country Club. She worked for Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance, retiring in 1978.
Her son David A. Bailey and his wife Susan of North Stonington, CT, her daughter, Joanne Brady of Winchester, MA, her daughter Virginia C. Bailey-Perrault and her husband Wayne Perrault of Tewksbury, MA and three grandchildren, Megan Brady, Matthew Bailey and Olivia Bailey, survive her.
Her siblings Charles Hargraves, James Hargraves, Joseph A. Hargraves, William R. Hargraves, Helen H. Johnson and Claire G. Hargraves preceded her in death.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009, at 9 a.m. from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
Calling hours will be held today, July 30, 2009, from 4-6 p.m. in the funeral home.
