NEWPORT - Anna F. Hogan,
93, of Harrison Avenue, Newport, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Newport Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Francis X. “Frank” Hogan.
Born in Newport on March 20, 1915 she was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Annie (Keane) Mack.
A parishioner of St. Augustin’s Church in Newport, her memberships included Legion of Mary, Rosary and Scapula Society, and the De La Salle Auxiliary. She was a graduate of the former St. Joseph’s High School, Class of 1932.
Mrs. Hogan is survived by her daughter Sheila A. Barlow and her husband Robert F. Barlow of Newport; a son, Michael F. Hogan and his wife Lucinda of Guadalajara, Mexico; 4 grandchildren, Nancy A. Barlow, Robert P. Barlow, Sherri A. Schaible, and Melissa Field; her great-granddaughters McKenna Barlow, Madison Barlow, and Stephanie Hogan; and her sister Mary E. Mack of Middletown.
She was the grandmother of the late Gary Hogan, and the sister of the late Abby Munro.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008, at 10 a.m. in St. Augustin’s Church, Carroll Avenue, Newport. Burial will be at St. Columba Cemetery, Brown’s Lane, Middletown.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2008, from 3-6 p.m. in the O’Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring Street, Newport, RI.
