73, of 111 Locust Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.
She was the wife of Herbert M. Silvia.
Born in Boston, MA, on July 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Bonner) Pappas.
Mrs. Silvia was a communicant of St. Barnabas Church. She loved spending time with and taking care of her family and grandchildren.
Besides her husband of fifty-two years, she is survived by two sons, Joseph B. Silvia and his wife Donna, and Herbert M. Silvia, Jr. and his wife Sabina, both of Portsmouth, RI, a brother, James Pappadilis, a sister, Pearl McGale, three grandsons, Jacob Silvia of Goldsboro, NC, Alexander A. Silvia of Portsmouth, RI, and Andrew J. Silvia, also of Portsmouth, RI, a great-grandson, William Jacob Silvia of Goldsboro, NC, and many nieces and nephews.
Brothers, Charles Pappas and Alex Pappas, precede her in death.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 11 a.m., in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columba's Cemetery in Middletown.
Calling hours will be held today, July 9, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. in the Connors Funeral Home.
