Adams - Esther (Rosa) Mudd Adams,

75, of Cathy Circle, Portsmouth, died Friday at the Newport Hospital. She was the wife of Cole Adams and the late Richard L. Mudd.
Born in Fall River a daughter of Lillian (Shepard) Rosa of Little Compton and the late Frank F. Rosa, Sr., she had been a resident of Little Compton prior to moving to Portsmouth 14 years ago.
Mrs. Adams was a secretary for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center of Newport for thirty years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of the Portsmouth Senior Center and the Royal Travelers of New England.
She is survived by her husband Cole; two sons, Michael J. Mudd of Portsmouth and Richard F. Mudd of Tiverton; two daughters, Margaret J. Mataronas of Little Compton and Rebecca F. McDonald of Portsmouth; three step daughters, Colleen Dopart and Noreen Bahnsen both of Portsmouth, and Nancy Long of North Carolina. She is also survived by one brother, Frank F. Rosa, Jr. of Little Compton and 19 grandchildren.
Funeral from the Fern Acres Funeral Home, 72 Willow Ave., Little Compton, on Tuesday at 9 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church on The Commons, Little Compton at 10 am. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton.
