CHARLESTOWN - Joseph F. Roque,
49, formerly of Charlestown died unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2006.
He was the former husband of Marianne (Papi) Roque of Charlestown.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Dr. John A. and Elizabeth B. (Bolton) Roque of Saunderstown, RI
He was the owner of several commercial fishing vessels in Point Judith. He was an avid snow and water skier and enjoyed commercial underwater diving.
Besides his former wife and parents, he leaves his children, Marissa A. and Joseph V. Roque; a brother, John Andrew Roque, Jr.; and three sisters, Elizabeth McDonald, Martha Palank and Mary Flaminio.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at 9 a.m. from the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, 415 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visiting hours Tuesday, February 7, 2006, 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to McCauley House, 163 Niagara St., Providence, RI 02907, will be appreciated.
