WEST EASTON, Pa. - Ella T. Bowman,
76, of West Easton, PA, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2006 in HCR ManorCare, Palmer Township, PA.
Born November 26, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Carey Scowcroft and Jane Scowcroft Carey.
Her husband, Alex E. Bowman, died October 25, 2001.
She was employed by Newport Hospital, Newport, RI, for over 25 years. Ella was an avid Boston Red Sox and Wilson Girls Basketball fan.
She is survived by five sons, Larry, of Virginia Beach, VA, Alex E. Jr., of Boston, MA, Gregory, of CA and Shawn and Carey, both of Newport, RI, three daughters, Ann Martin, of West Easton, Donna Brown, of New Hope, MN and Lisa Speigle, with whom she last resided; two sisters, Marge, of NC and Annie, of NY; 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a son, David and a brother, James, both died earlier.
Private services were held in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Easton. Burial was in
Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township.
Memorial donations may be sent in Mrs. Bowmans name to Heartland Hospice, 1227 Liberty Street, Allentown, PA 18102.
