Nancy J. Robinson
MIDDLETOWN - Nancy Jean (Shilling) Robinson,
78, of Forest Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.
She was the wife of the late Jack V. Robinson, Lt CDR, USN, Ret.
Born in Staunton, VA on March 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Clinton R. and Erma Jane (Ellenberger) Shilling.
Mrs. Robinson worked as a secretary for more than 25 years at the Newport Tent Company. She was a very active member of the United Congregational Church in Middletown, singing in the choir, participating in the prayer ministry, and in the knitting group. She loved nothing more then spending time with her grandchildren and family. Mrs. Robinson was a very proud mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters Bonnie Kuettner of Phoenix, AZ, Katherine White of Greenbackville, VA, Jennifer Robinson of Ellenton, FL and Jacqueline Robinson of Middletown, RI, her sister Jane Garisto of PA, nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Valerie Robinson.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 9 a.m. in Newport Memorial Park, Howland Avenue, Middletown, RI.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Robert Potter League for Animals, P.O. Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.
