FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Thomas V. Wilson,
41, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, died on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from a car accident.
Born in Queens, NY on May 26, 1969, he was the son of Dorothy (Henrich) Wilson of Bradenton, FL and the late Edward J. Wilson.
Thomas was a 1987 graduate of Portsmouth High School then a 1991 graduate of St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. He worked for over 17 years in the yachting community in Fort Lauderdale, FL, which enabled him to travel the globe with his work.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his brother Rev. Edward J. Wilson, Jr. of Warwick, RI, his sisters, Kathleen Santillo and her husband John of Portsmouth, RI, Maryann Wilson and her fiancé David LeBlanc of Bristol, RI and Patricia Meade and her husband Patrick of Portsmouth, RI, and his nieces and nephews, Kaela, Kerin and Danielle Santillo, Connor, Shannon and Keegan Meade.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 9 a.m. from the Connors Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown, RI.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mother Teresa Fund for the Poor, c/o Sts. Rose and Clement Parish, 111 Long Street, Warwick, RI 02886.
