Anna Marie Davitt and Rhys William Warburton

Brooklyn, New York ~ Anna Marie Davitt and Rhys William Warburton of Brooklyn, New York were married Saturday, May 15th, 2010 at Bubby’s Pie Company on the East River in Brooklyn, New York. The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Jesse Hendrich and the reception immediately followed at Bubby’s.

The Bride is the daughter of Rick and Paula Davitt of Ware, Massachusetts. The bride graduated from Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, Massachusetts in 2001, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Boston University in 2005. She will receive her Master of Arts in Higher Education from the Steinhardt School of Education at New York University in December 2010. The bride is an administrator at New York University in New York City.

The Groom is the son of Roger and Eileen Warburton of Newport, Rhode Island. The groom graduated from Rogers High School in Newport, Rhode Island in 2001, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from Boston University in 2005. He was selected for the New York City Teaching Fellowship Program for 2007-2009. He received his Master of Arts in Science Education from The City College of New York, CUNY in 2009. The groom is a Science Teacher in a New York City Public High School.

Rebecca Brown, from Sandown, New Hampshire, a close friend of the bride, stood as the Maid of Honor.

Andrew Trueheart, from Brooklyn, New York, a close friend and former roommate of the groom, stood as the Best Man.

The couple met their freshman year of college while living on the same floor of Warren Towers at Boston University in September 2001. Becky Brown, the Maid of Honor, and Andy Trueheart, the Best Man, met and became friends with Rhys and Anna on the same day, living on the same freshman floor at BU.

The Bride wore an elegant ivory cream organza spaghetti strap wedding gown.

At the reception, friends and relatives who had come as far as from London, Dubai and California danced as the lights of New York City, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge illuminated the celebration.

The Newlyweds honeymooned in Cinque Terra, Italy and have made their home in Brooklyn, New York.
